Wow, has it really been THAT long since I submitted anything to DeviantArt? Time's just FLOWN for me the past few months- got that job I mentioned in the last entry, and it's completely awesome, but my very first assignment put me on the road to head up a major project. Since early September, I've basically been living in hotel rooms for three to four nights a week, and I haven't found one yet that is as conducive to the creative process as my own home. It's mostly wrapped up at the moment- a few odds and ends left to do, but I've gotta wait for a different contractor to do their thing before I can finish my work up, and it won't take long once it's ready. So hey, good a time as any to get back into the drawing thing, right?
And I HAVE been drawing in the meantime- it's always surprising to me just how much a man's skills can deteriorate after a few months of unproductivity. I've been getting back into the habit by sketching for the Giant Project, mainly (looks like that's gonna get pushed back to next year, though), but more importantly, I'm trying to empty out my increasingly-inappropriately-named Current Projects folder. Aside from the Giant Project, there are only four more items in there- and I'll be starting on one of them soon as this Journal entry's done
I uploaded the last one I finished and posted about it at my LiveJournal, but once again, it's something that wouldn't survive ten minutes here at DeviantArt. It's a request pic for a dear anonymous friend of mine and features Dawn and Zoey from the most recent Pokemon anime arc, and you can read all about it over here:
Greetings from Snowpoint City
Click the stamp for the main feature, but be warned- it might make you feel a little dirty :3.
In the meantime, I've uploaded a couple more recent pics to my Scrapbook- they're both drawings for other friends, but rest assured, the next pic's all me. I realized that, if I can get it done in time, I can use it to mark a fairly auspicious occasion, so I'm hoping to knock it right on out- stay tuned!
