Then stick around for my first finished picture in over eight months, coming your way in the next couple days
Yeah, I'm back to the drawing board- turns out you get tired of doing the same thing the same way over and over and over again, and the best way to cure that is to try doing it DIFFERENTLY. Seems so simple in retrospect, but then again, I've always been lazy like that
Well, don't know about you guys, but I had a pretty bitchin' holiday. Leveled up my baking skills with several apple-cranberry pies of increasing deliciousness, managed to get everyone great gifts and even managed to end December with more money in the account than I started it with. Best of all, I got EXACTLY what I asked for- cold, hard, convertable-into-computer-equipment cash. Took my Santa Money and turned it into a computer that WASN'T ridiculously obsolete as soon as I built it! Replaced my old, tired Athlon XP 2200 system with a shiny new i5. Had a LITTLE trouble when it came to installing an OS; turns out modern computers don't particularly like installing stone-age, pre-SP1 copies of Windows XP. Seriously, the Product Key on the back of my XP package is written in Mayan hieroglyphics. One OEM copy of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit later, and I've fallen in love all over again- the new machine is a beautiful beast T^T.
And with it, I've fulfilled approximately one-third of my New Year's Resolution for 2010- to replace the old-and-busted in my life with new hotness! Next up on the list- probably when the tax return comes through- is replacing my ridiculous television with modern technology. I bought a pretty early HDTV model- a Panasonic CT-32HX41E- and at the time, it was a pretty boss television. 'Course, time and technology moves on, and being an early HDTV model, it has a few features that'd be considered absolutely crazy by modern standards:
Most damning of all, though:
In a time where even the local news broadcasts in HD, I'm getting tired of seeing part of the widescreen picture- people cropped at awkward places, network logos half out-of-frame, lines of text with no clear beginning or end. It's time for an upgrade.
After that, I should really see about getting a car that doesn't look like it's ten miles from falling apart completely.
IN THE MEANTIME, though- new pics comin' up right the hell now!

Have a great day

First: Samus bites off more than she can chew when she gets kidnapped by Space pirates, and more importantly, her main hate, Ridley.
Second: Erikia/Marisa/Neimi/Vanessa/Lute from Fire Emblem Sacred Stones being 'attacked' by any assortment of creatures from that game

Okay, maybe a little sarcastic, there. Yeah, I COULD draw those two, but dang, son, I'd say they both have enough people drawin' 'em as it is. Nah, think in 2010, I'll give some fanart love to characters that DON'T have tens of thousands of drawings on DeviantArt already
