FINALLY

AFTER TWO WEEKS ON MY DESKTOP

IT IS DONE

Not that this took me two weeks to work on, mind! Real Life has done everything it can to come between me and quality CG time, is all. Take this weekend, for example. Actually, just bookmark that link and read it when you have a good four or five hours to kill.

Anyway! Several months ago, I behaved very badly at the DevArt journal of one =SigurdHosenfeld. Things got fairly ugly pretty fast, and after everything was said and done, I felt pretty bad for how the whole situation had turned out. Sigurd had expressed an interest in doing an art trade with me, so I decided to just up and draw him giftart by way of apology. I should've expected that he'd ask for a pic of Peach having a romantic tryst- I mean, check the dude's Favorites gallery- but nonetheless, it came as something of a surprise. More on that later- let's deal with the pic at hand!

Here we have Peach wearing my interpretation of the outfit Sigurd designed for my EXCITING FIGHT Contest a few months ago! There were a couple Piranha Plant-themed entries, but Sigurd's always stuck out to me- neat, bikini-like design, to be sure, but where other entries gave Peach a Piranha Plant to attack enemies with, Sigurd's gave her the power to charm any Plant she came into contact with. Extremely handy thing, an army of slavering carnivorous plants >:3.

Here, I have her working her magic on a regular Plant and some of its cousins- there's a little Ptooie, a Venus Fire Trap, and a tiny Nipper Plant, all in the Mushroom Princess' thrall! Must be a nice change for the girl, considering how I USUALLY draw her interacting with Piranha Plants .

BUT WHY DIDN'T I DRAW THE ORIGINAL REQUEST?

Folks, works out like this: Ever since posting those commissions I did for *cocotapioka a while back, I've received an ONSLAUGHT of similar requests- fans who want me to draw them enjoying their favorite fictional female's company. These requests run the gamut from super-tame to super-raunchy; I like to consider myself pretty jaded where smut is concerned, but I gotta hand it to you- some of y'all have found ways to surprise me. Thing is.... well, I've never really been all that comfortable drawing such things.

Partly, it has to do with personal space issues. I mean, these pics can get pretty.... well, let's just say "intimate." Ever been in a room with a guy and a girl who are REALLY into each other, and don't care who knows it? Remember when they spent five hours non-stop deep-tongue-kissing each other not ten inches away from you? That's pretty close to how it feels for me to draw that kind of thing.

MOSTLY, though... look, not to get mushy or anything, but I like all you guys. AND GIRLS. You're all like brothers, sisters and cousins to me. I've got a real-life brother and many, many real-life cousins, and just like them, I really don't want to have to think about what you look like naked.
