Just a quick sketch to work out some costume details !

I thought about finishing this one up with colors and such, but honestly, every minute I spend on this is a minute I'm NOT spending on the 250K pic, and ~Muskrat-Warrior's Exciting Fight prize pic, and any of the commissions and trade pics I'm becoming more and more motivated to actually do. So consider this a placeholder for the 250K Pic, as well as a sneak-preview .

Sure, there are several prurient reasons I enjoy drawing all those Princesses-in-Peril pics, but honestly, comin' up with power-up outfit concepts is a large part of it, too. Here we have Raccoon Peach and Fire Daisy. I've always liked the idea of Peach's Raccoon outfit involving her Golf/Tennis miniskirt simply because of its sheer impracticality. Not exactly the BEST costume to go flying around in, but who's gonna argue >:3?

Fire Daisy, I've briefly worked with before. Still in the process of refining the look, but I'm really starting to like the whole bellydancer motif. I mentioned the bizarro logic behind its concept in the writeup for In Ya Go!, and I continue to refine it . For a while, I toyed around with the idea of giving her an appropriately-colored version of the Sister's outfit in Doki Doki Panic! (which, as approximately every Internet website created since 1996 has mentioned at some point, is the game Nintendo sprite-swapped and released Stateside as Super Mario Bros. 2), but the Sister's outfit lacks that delightful bare midriff :3.

Anyway! Hopefully, I'll get some more work done on the 250K pic this weekend; once I post it, this'll be goin' straight to the Scraps ^^. After that, goodness SAKES I hope it doesn't take me another month between projects!
