GO! LOLIBOTS GO!
Caskett: "Uh, I'm not a robot, y'know." EXE: "Me neither- I'm more of a computer program. There's a difference!" Cartoon: "And Caskett and I aren't exactly 'loli,' either." Anti-Roll: "ACCORDING TO Dr.WILY'S ORDER, YOU WILL BE DISINTEGRATED." Classic: "Says you! ROLL BUSTAAAAH!" Powered Up: "I REFUSE TO LOSE!" Just a bit of random giftart for my good friend and cohort, Racewing. He did me a pretty big favor a while back, and I've been meaning to draw him something in return for it ever since! A few months ago, he floated the idea of writing a fanfic in which the Classic, Legends, Battle Network and cartoon versions of Roll teamed up to battle for ADORABLE JUSTICE. He probably forgot all about it a week later. BUT I DIDN'T >:3. I couldn't decide whether to draw Classic Roll in her original red-dress-and-Mary-Janes outfit or her more elaborate Mega Man 8/Marvel vs. Capcom outfit. So I threw in the adorable SD Roll from Mega Man: Powered Up into the mix as a handy workaround THe pic just didn't look right without an adversary, though. That's when I remembered this image from the Rockman 20th Anniversary artbook, and the mysterious little girl robot contained therein. Near as I can tell, this character's never been used in anything other than this image, which was an "alternate reality"-themed poster done for the Rockman fan club. Still, if Dr. Wily were to create his own robo-daughter, I imagine that's what she'd look like, and she just has this great "Anti-Roll" aura about her, so that's what I've been calling her. (Fact Corner: At the time of the sketching, I was positive I was the only one who'd ever done fanart of this particular character. Ran into a naughty image of her over at Rule 34 that put THAT delusion to rest, though. Ohhh, RUle 34- there really AREN'T any characters you haven't found smut of. No, I won't give you a link to the picture.) Decided to try my hand at cel-shading again, for the first time since Daisy in Danger- Stretch, over three years ago. It's not much easier NOW than it was back THEN |

...Perhaps I should be thankful you didn't include Mega Girl either.

'Sides, I figured Ruby-Spears Roll was adequately representing the Western world's concept of Roll

This is beautiful, dude! I love the colors and the expressions and all the details on the Rolls that go along with each one's uniqueness. Like Roll.EXE phasing into the scene all pixelly.

Lead us not into temptation... Just point us in the general direction and we'll find it ourselves.
So I drew Cartoon, .EXE and Legends Roll on another sheet of paper, and finally Anti-Roll on a THIRD sheet, then used Photoshop trickery to try and smash 'em all into a single work
