Final Fantasy Tactics Advance really is a great little game. Pity it occasionally does goofy stuff to my poor, lonely imagination.
In the game, there are two suits of armor that can ONLY be equipped by the all-female Viera race: the Minerva Plate, and the Rubber Suit.
Now, in my defense, I was JUST coming off of my Smutpic Series last year (pics from that series to follow), so I was still stuck in draw-cartoon-girls-in-lingerie mode. So when I read "Rubber Suit," I immediately thought to myself, "Dude, they actually MAKE rubber lingerie." Hence the outfit being modelled by our less-than-enthusiastic White Mage.
Minerva Plate was just a bit trickier. It's named after the Roman goddess of wisdom, but surely THAT isn't enough to keep a self-respecting male soldier from donning it. Obviously it was engineered to fit- and look GOOD on- female soldiers. After deciding that I was thinking of it too hard, I drew it as an ensemble just a couple of steps above the stereotypical fantasy "Chainmail Bikini."
I originally drew this for the Gameforms fanart update, deciding that SOMETHING had to be posted there besides the incessant flood of Sephiroth fanart. Seriously, fellow fanartists, there ARE other characters from other games besides the overrated mama's boy villain of FFVII.
Right-o. From far away, this looks almost cartoony, but with a closer view, this looks stunningly professional! The design and detail is simply mind-blowing, and the coloring is the same to match. I like the blonde's face and ears a lot, and for some reason, the little bit of cloth on the other girl's butt. Hey... It just looks very real; the shading helps and the folds in it, too. I'm an artist, too, so I'm trained to look for detail like that!
Man... I just can't get over how awesome the coloring on this is, and the armor just boggles the mind! I've tried drawing armor before, and let me tell ya... It wasn't pretty.
This picture, however, is very, very pretty, to put it one way. Absolutely professional in its quality! Superb job, comrade. I give you an A++, a Gold Star for today, , and my famous...

Excellent work! FFTA became an instant favorite of mine.
Personally, I prefer giving the rubber suit to a summoner. That way, she can use Ramuh and be within rank without getting damaged.
The viera using the Minerva plate. What's her job? Fencer?

wow fan art of FF not dealing with seven. I applaude you on drawing the two female armors of FFTA. Damn I should ask the twins on references on FFTA since FF 12 is gonna be based on them.
Better yet, you should totally play the game yourself! FFTA is one of many titles that justifies the purchase of a GBA, if you don't have one already.
Yeah, doubt I'll EVER draw anything from Final Fantasy VII. It's just been done to death. People have drawn every conceivable fanart idea that can be squeezed from that game, so there's no new territory to explore.
Not that this fact keeps people from drawing FFVII fanart ANYWAY.
Besides, I can't stand most of the main characters- particularly Cloud and Sephiroth. I'll NEVER understand the attraction to those two. Meanwhile, those characters I DO like (Let's see- Yuffie, Cid, Cait Sith, END OF LIST)- even THEY have been drawn to death. It's a game that, while undeniably important in the history of the franchise, I just can't maintain any creative interest in.

Have you seen my takes on the whole FF thing. I drew Rufus for that reason alone. Plus the twins tell me that FF VI was the best one made (Besides FF XI which no one plays) I'll ask the twins to see if they have the game. I know they are playing FF Dawn of souls now.
